Greek sculpture is the first time where I saw nude bodies that weren’t made to be lusted after, but appreciated as the art that they are, and that really stuck with me. I believe that society needs to separate the nude and the sexual. There is this belief that nudity is inherently something about sex and desire, and while it can be, the body is also just the body, and should be able to exist and be appreciated separate from its sexual appeal.
